The Nokia N900 is one of the famous new smart phones. The N900 is Nokia’s newest smart phone, and compares very well to other phones that you can buy.

Main qualities of the phone:

Appearance - The phone looks a bit chunky, but it contains a 600-MHx TI OMAP 3430 processor and ARM Cortex-A8. Even though a bit bigger in dimension, this phone does not compensate on trend. The N900 is sleek and jet black in colour with a glossy finish. The camera can be found on the back side, with the keyboard located in the front panel. A shutter protects this phone’s Carl Zeiss camera lens. At the top, it has a lock key and 3.5 mm headphone jack.

Touchscreen - It has a 5 inch touchscreen offering a resolution of 800×480 pixels. 16 million colors are backed by the screen. The touchscreen is simple to use and rather reactive.

Software - This phone uses the Maemo 5 operating system. An open OS like the Linux OS can be enhanced and made more useful by the addition of custom applications created by developers and designers. More than one application are able to be used simultaneously. You can move from one application to another without effort. Applications that are being run will show up as little panes on the display panel. Just click on the cross sign at the side of window if you wish to close applications.

Interface User - Easy to use is the UI which is also convenient. All ions and applications are displayed in the desktop. Shortcuts can be added to social networking sites such as Twitter, Facebook, Flickr, and Evernote. You also have the option of customizing with widgets. Navigating the desktop is easily done with a swipe of your finger.

Internet - The internet experience on this latest Nokia phone is enhanced by GRPS, EDGE, HSCSD, WAP, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and HSDPA connectivity. For internet surfing Mozilla Firefox explorer is utilized by the telephone. You will be able to zoom the web page by double tapping or swirling in circulation motion.

Navigation - The navigation software in this device is worth mentioning. The N900 has A-GPS, inbuilt compass and Ovi maps. If you don’t like using Ovi maps, you can choose other maps to download and keep.

Camcorder - A five-megapixel camera comes with this phone, and it has zoom, autofocus, and all the other features you expect. All these attributes along with the excellent clarity and resolution of the screen offers you wonderful images. Images can be edited as you like. With WVGA 848×480 @ 25fps, Video streaming is possible.

Media - The Nokia N900 contains a few amazing media attributes. MP3, WAV, WMA and eAAC formats are supported by the audio system, while the WMV, Real Video, MP4, AV1 and XviD formats are supported by the video system.

Microsoft Office - with this phone, users of MS Office Document Viewer allows you to view PDF documents and files.

Games - This handset can be used to download a Super Nintendo emulator. The gaming experience is good.

Other facilities- polyphonic ring tones, calendar, calculator, schedules, reminder, Java program, speakerphone, voice memo, FM, vibration, notifications.
